Liverpool Pensions Bowling League

I have been informed of the passing of Timmy Quane a log standing member of Roby BC.  His funeral will take place at 11.30a.m. on Tuesday 16th August 2022 at St. Annes Church, Overbury  Street, Liverpool L7 3 HJ.  RIP

The finals of the over 70″s competition will be held at Richmond BC at  1p.m. on Friday 12thAugust 2022.  The following have qualified – J. Hullican ( Richmond), M. Shields ( West Derby Recs), P. McCormack ( Grant) D. Tubby ( Walton Hall), D. Croston, and  K. Klucton ( Garston) S. Radford and L. Denton ( Springwood).

I have been informed that on the 5th September 2022 the Car Park at Halewood Bc will be dug up and replaced later.  It is not known how long this work will take.

I have been informed of he passing of Ian Exton a long serving member of Walton Hall Pensioners BC.  His funeral arrangements are not yet available. RIP>  Ron Holt

BCGBA Newsletter 20

Due to the forthcoming heatwave and advise from the Government and BCGBA all games scheduled for the 19th July have been postponed.  Teams should re-arrange at their convenience.

In the final of the League Merit held at the Gardeners Vin Dalziel defeated Mike Sheils 15 – 8.    In the semi finals Mike defeated R. Farrington 15 – 3 and  Vin beat Phil Olsen 15 – 7.  The Cup was presented by the League President Fred Bolland.

I have been informed of the passing of Ronnie Pringle who played for a number of years at the Gardeners. His funeral will take place at 10.30a.m. on Tuesday 19th July 2022 at Springwood Crematorium. . RIP Ronnie.  Ron Holt

I have been informed of the passing of Les Roberts. Les played for many years at APH and latterly at WVC where he was also the Greensman.  Funeral at 3p.m. on Monday 1st August 2022 at Springwood Crem, Rosemary Chapel.   RIP Les. Ron Holt

I have been informed of the passing of Dave Bennett the Pensioners Secretary of Larkhill Alder.   His funeral will take place at 11.20a.m. on Monday 18th July 2022 at  Anfield Crematorium. RIP Dave.  Ron Holt

I have been informed of the passing of John Robinson who played for a number of years at Woolton Village Club.  In 2019 he was successful in winning both the League Merit and Over 70″s competitions.  A true Gentleman.  I have also been informed that John had stated that he did not want a Funeral or a Service so at the moment I will have to leave if at that. RIP John.  Ron Holt
