LEAGUE HANDICAP

The venues for the first rounds of the League Handicap on Monday 3rd June 2024 are West Derby Recs and Calderfield commencing at 12.45pm  The final on Friday 7th June 2024 will be at Larkhill with a 1.p.m. start.   The closing date for entries  is Tuesday 28th May.

CUP MATCHES

I have been asked to clarify what is the correct procedure in relation to Cup games.  The answer is simple –  they are run in the same way as normal league matches. ie the away team are allowed 15 minutes practice and they have first throw of the jack.  Ron

Du to the resignation of Huyton from this League, in order to create a better balance, at the end of the Season 2024, three teams will be relegated from Division 1 and two teams will be promoted from the Second Division.

INCORRECT DATES

The dates shown for the fixtures in August and September are incorrect and instead of the 3rd, 10th, 17th,24th 31st.  Insert 1st, 8th,15th, 22nd and  29th. The Thursday date in September should read the 5th.

I have been informed of the passing of Tommy Hughes a long serving respected member of the Olympic BC.  His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Tuesday 9th April 2024 at St. Chads Church, Kirkby followed by cremation at St. Helens Crematorium. RIP Tommy.
