The league has been in existence
for over 50 years and matches are played every Tuesday afternoon
throughout the Bowling Season. Many Fridays are utilised to complete
the heavy fixture load and the three Cup Competitions.

The league has
played with 15 players a team for numerous years but in 2012 the
format has changed,
the First and
Second Divisions will consist of 14 players and the
Third Division 12 players. In all Cup Matches teams will consist of 12 players. There are
over 750 Bowlers registered with the League which also organises
four individual and pairs competitions throughout the season.
For the last 8
years the League has been sponsored by Peter Coyne Funeral Services
and without their generous support the fees of the League would have
had to be increased annually. However in 2012 for the first
time in 16 years there has been a small increase in affiliation
fees.
Teams in the League are always looking
for additional players and if there are any pensioners who fancy a
game of Crown Green Bowls on a Tuesday afternoon please contact the
secretary via email of telephone and he will advise them
accordingly.
