Richmond 2 report the passing of Bob Mitchell aged 88 years a prominent member of the Clarence BC for many years.  His funeral will take place at 2.15pm on Wednesday 30th May 2018 at Springwood Crematorium.

Rule 3.7 . In the event of a team playing an unregistered or ineligible player or players in any League Matches or Trophy Competitions they will:-

a)Forfeit the match/competition and any benefits which they have accrued in relation to taking part in the match/competition including prize monies and trophies etc.

b)If the infringement relates to a league match, have additional points deducted from their league points total – 2 points for home match, 3 points for away match.

ASM report  the passing of one of their members, Brian Daley. His funeral will take place at 1pm on Thursday 26th April 2018 at Springwood Crematorium.

Northway CTK report the passing of John Maddocks. His funeral will take place at Springwood Crematorium at 10am on Thursday 5th April 2018.

Calderfield Pens Bc sadly announce the passing of one of their long serving members George Brown.  Funeral  will take place at 11.a.m. on Friday 16th March 2018 at Springwood Crematorium

West Derby Recs report the passing of Harry Wilkinson.  His funeral will take place at St. NICHOLAS Church, Old Church Yard, Liverpool L2 8GW at 12 noon on Thursday 1st March 2018 and afterwards  at Anfield Crematorium.

Arriva Bc report the passing of one of their members Les Keeble.  His funeral will take place at 10a.m. on Thursday 15th February 2018  at Springwood Crematorium.

Richmond BC report the passing of Frank McAvoy. His funeral will take place at 10am on Thursday 1st February 2018 at St. Matthews Church, Townsend Lane, Liverpool L13 9DL

I have just been informed that Alan Stewart who played at Huyton, a past Treasurer of this League and a life member passed away on the 11th NOVEMBER 2017

At the Annual General Meeting on the 10th January 2018 held at the Alder Club the following proposals were discussed :-

Rule 1.4

Delete the second sentence I.e.

In respect of Females there are no restrictions on the number that can be registered but no more than two can play in a pre arranged fixture.  (eg If this rule is passed a team can register and play as many Ladies as they wish).

Proposed by Olympic. Seconded by Garston.This was passed 15 votes to 10

Rule 3.1    Delete 12 and insert 10. (eg In League and Cup matches will consist of 10 players.

Proposed by Crown Inn Pens and second by Halewood Pens.  This proposal was withdrawn,

Rule 3.2 (c) Delete this rule and insert. Points in League matches shall be awarded as follows. For every winner 1 point will be awarded. In the total aggregate 2 further points will be awarded for a home win and 3 for an away win. The number of points gained per match will be included in the points column of the League Tables (e.g. If a team has 6 winners and win the aggregate in an away match they will accrue a total of 9 points in that match). Also if a team have a number of winners and do not win the aggregate the points scored by the winners will be added to the total in the League table.) In cup matches only the total aggregate will count.

Proposed by Olympic and seconded by Edinburgh Park.This proposal was defeated 13 votes to 12.
