OBITUARY

Roby Pensioners BC report the passing of John Fry who also played for Childwall Abbey BC.  His funeral will take place at 4pm on Thursday 24th August 2023  at Rosemary Chapel Springwood Crematorium. RIP

OBITUARY

I have been informed of the passing of Les Bolland who played for many years at WVC and latterly at Garston.  Les was the winner in all of the  four League Competitions.  His funeral will take place at 10.45.a.m. on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 at Springwood Crematorium.   There will be a buffet afterwards at Allerton Hall which is next door to the Crematorium all are welcome.   RIP Les.   Ron

OVER 70″S COMPETITION

In the final of the over 70″s held at Grant Harry Barlow (ASM) defeated David Gaynor (Richmond 2) 15 – 14.  The losing semi finalists were Tony Tsang and John Sharkey.  In the photograph Joe Jones the League Chairman presents the trophy to Harry Barlow.

As a result the schedule for the Sponsors Trophy has been altered as follows :-
The 6 outstanding games from the  11th July 2023 will be played on what was Round Three on Friday 11th August 2023.  Round three will now be played on Friday 1st September with the semi finals on Friday 8th September 2023.  The final will remain as published on Friday 29th September 2023.
